This lake-side home was updated with an expansive addition, giving the opportunity to elevate the rustic feel into a modern-eclectic retreat. The kitchen was crafted to accommodate a large, blended family during summer gatherings, while making a grand statement that unifies the cozy wood tones found throughout the original structure and the new, modern architecture of the addition. This addition enabled us to create new work zones, including a pantry, bar area, and dining buffet, all coated in a deep, moody green hue. The color was selected to balance the size of the kitchen while enhancing the ambiance of the wooded, waterside setting. The double waterfall wood countertop, complete with 3 built-in charging stations, added a touch of contemporary elegance, and serves as a key player in blending the new modern architecture and existing log structure. Thoughtful placement of windows, guided by the architect’s plans, ensured harmony with the new kitchen layout, resulting in an elevated and cohesive design
